In your Wellness Hotel SILENA you are already at 1,354 m above sea level. Right outside the hotel the cable car station of the Jochtal-Bergbahn is located! With the Almencard PLUS you and your bike can go up or down the mountain. You can look forward to a huge variety of mountain bike tours through the Val Pusteria and South Tyrol.
In our sunny valley of Vals in the Gitschberg-Jochtal region we enjoy lovely springtime and summer, which is not too hot and followed by a long autumn. When temperatures are pleasant you can work out, bike or discover the neighboring areas of Mühlbach, Meransen and Spinges. If you leave your own mountain bike or bicycle at home, then you can, free of charge, take one of ours. If you wish to try out a new bike route or maybe you would like some company on your tour, then please join one of our mountain bike tours. (Information can be found in our weekly program). Afterwards, we can reward ourselves with an alcohol-free beer or a home-made ice tea.
In the winter you can try out a fatbike tour. Do you know these special mountain bikes with really fat tires for biking in snow and ice? We are happy to provide these for you, free of charge. But we have to tell you that fatbiking, although a lot of fun, is also very tiring treading the pedals in the snow. Try it for yourself!
Start your mountain bike holiday with us here in Vals with this tour which offers a bit of everything. At an altitude of 900 meters uphill it is all possible. At the summit of the Stoanamandl your reward is a 360° panorama view of the South Tyrolean mountain ranges. And if you wish to treat yourself to another highlight, take the single trail descent down to Mühlbach: 1,000 meter altitude with pure trail enjoyment!
The Peitlerkofel tour is a top route for trained bikers. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful mountain bike tours in South Tyrol but also as one of the hardest. You start in Villnöss and then you have 60 km uphill ahead of you up to an altitude of 2,410 m. Or choose the option of 41 km uphill and altitude of 1,550. The highlights in the true sense of the word are the Kreuzkofeljoch (2,344 m) and Würzjoch (2,007 m). Exhausted but happy, the end of your tour of Peitlerkofel and Ruefen.
From Vals you ride down to Mühlbach and from here across the high plain Natz-Schabs. Discover the apple orchards, small villages and unbelievably beautiful pine forests all from your mountain bike.
