Admittedly in the seventh month I was really ready for a holiday and just wanted to breathe in some air! Of course I was not up to adventure. I wanted to stay in the German-speaking area, travel by car, with no climate or time changes and just wanted to take it easy and enjoy life, with wellness, delicious food and sleeping long. Thank goodness that my partner and I soon found the “Holy Grail”: the SILENA in South Tyrol, surrounded by mountains, fresh air in abundance, lazing around or wellness for me and a mountain bike Eldorado for my boyfriend. Check!
We just felt at home from the very first moment. Our suite smelled of mountain pine. Right after checking in I devoured the home-made apple strudel. And as far as eating was concerned: As a pregnant vegetarian the “soulful nature’s kitchen” was absolutely perfect for me and even all my special wishes were fulfilled without further ado. Just imagine…!
The whole of our stay was simply so smooth, so relaxed and yet so delightful. My partner and I just went our own ways whereby each of us could do or not do whatever we wanted. My boyfriend went off on his mountain bike in the mornings, whereas I just put my feet up in the Tea Library or could at last “float” serenely in the Infinity Pool. In the afternoons we met up again for a wellness program.
And the greatest thing of all was that I could simply just “be”. I was able to spend time with myself and my baby, to write down my thoughts in my diary of pregnancy and birth and find my inner peace. I had the feeling that during this time of peace and inner reflection I was able to build up an even deeper bond with the little being inside me. Not only was this good for me but also for the baby.
I would like to point out three special highlights of my Babymoon holiday: One of these was my whole-body oil massage for pregnant ladies. I was massaged whilst lying on my side. This was a new experience for me and was really nice and done with care. Also definitely worth mentioning is Yoga in SILENA. In the normal yoga session, Laura Maria always took care that I could take part or showed me alternative exercises. Last but not least was the gondola ride with the Jochtal cable car to the top of the mountain. We got our Almencard Plus at the hotel and so were able to travel on the mountain cable car free of charge. My boyfriend took his bike with him and I strolled along to the Panorama Platform where I enjoyed the views.
Babymoon-Holiday in SILENA: From me a 100% recommendation!
