When you are on holiday at the SILENA, your soulful hotel you can decide to get on the piste at any time. The hotel is located right at the valley station of the Jochtal Mountain Cableway that takes you into the ski and alpine region Rio di Pusteria with all its beautiful pistes. Here you can ski, toboggan or snowboard; it’s up to you. The most important thing is having fun in the snow. The ski area Rio di Pusteria not only receives plenty of sunshine, but snow is also guaranteed here. 55 piste kilometres, 16 lifts, 4 toboggan runs as well as cross-country tracks await.

Plan your perfect winter day. Located directly at the valley station of the Jochtal Mountain Cableway, you are free to be spontaneous. No need to find a parking space, wait for a ski bus or even stand in line at the ski depot. You can get your ski pass (day pass excluded) directly from us and avoid the crowds at the ticket office. You can stow all your equipment securely with us in your personal ski locker in our ski cellar, which also has a ski boot drier.

If you take the train from Maranza, you can reach the ski area Kronplatz. This world-class winter sports destination with its gentle and broad slopes offers 120 km of pistes and 32 lifts. Or you can circuit the distinct Sella-Massif. The Sella Ronda is among the most impressive skiing destinations in South Tyrol and can be reached by car. The ski area encompasses 27 piste kilometres and a broad variety of slopes and lifts. The Plose ski area toward Bressanone or the Rosskopf ski area toward Vipiteno are both approx. 40 minutes from the SILENA by car. Expect a breathtaking 360° panorama view of the imposing Dolomite Mountains.
